Painting the Town
Mendota received a National Endowment of Arts grant to place 2 murals in our downtown. Beginning in June 2026 two artists will arrive to beginning painting murals in the downtown area.

​Justin Suarez from upper state New York will share his love for the wildlife through his aerosol artistry. Painting will be completed at 907 Washington (Frontier Building)

Audrey Carver from Minneapolis, MN will provide a beautiful display of flowers, nature and an endangered bird or two in her mural that will be located on the north side of the 728 Main Street building. This will be an Audubon Art piece. For information about Audrey click HERE
